Earth Hour is an international event. It offers a chance to stand up, get involved and help to lead the way towards a sustainable future. People across the world will turn off lights and join in this celebration of our planet. In previous years landmarks including the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Toronto’s CN Tower, San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, and Rome’s Colosseum have all stood in darkness as symbols of hope.
We have signed up to Earth Hour 2010 and are encouraging people to join us. Please turn off some lights for one hour, Earth Hour, 8.30pm, Saturday 27 March. We’ve also invited pubs and restaurants across our area to switch off and help put Teignmouth on the Earth Hour map.
