Eastcliff Big Lunch update

Don’t forget the Eastcliff Big Lunch on Sunday 18th July in Teignmouth’s Eastcliff Park from 12 noon onwards, meeting at the new log picnic circle.

Please bring a picnic and come along to meet people and find out more about this beautiful community space. Lots of free events for children and adults are being planned.

  • Sian Avon, Senior Countryside Ranger for Teignbridge District Council, will lead a wildlife safari looking at the minibeasts who live in the park
  • there’ll be a scavenger hunt for children
  • a trail looking at the park’s history
  • a local food quiz.

Other activities are also being arranged.

The event is part of The Big Lunch run by the Eden Project and is being organised locally by the Friends of Eastcliff Park and Teign Estuary Transition working together with Teignbridge District Council.

To encourage sustainability, the Transition group invites you to see if you can bring locally produced food for your picnic, and also if possible to travel to the park by foot or public transport.

See you there!
