Energy Saving Week
The 25 – 31 October 2010 marks the 14th Energy Saving Week – organised by The Energy Saving Trust, a non-profit organisation that provides free and impartial advice on how to stop wasting energy.
To take control and start cutting your energy use at home and in how you travel, take a look at the Energy Saving Trust web site.
Supporting 10:10:10
10:10:10 is aiming to be the biggest ever day of positive action on climate change, on Sunday 10 October, 2010. Across the world, thousands of people will take simple steps to reduce carbon emissions: from tree-planting in Croatia and Russia, to families eating low-carbon Sunday meals together in the UK, it is hoped this will be an inspirational day. The organisers would like us to mark 10:10:10 with a low-carbon meal, do something to our home to make it more energy-efficient, or try something else: for lots of ideas see: http://www.1010global.org/101010/inspiration

Representing Transition at cycle race events, September
A key element of Transition is developing sustainable transport, so we’ve arranged to have a stand on Teignmouth’s Den on Tuesday 14th September during the Tour of Britain cycle race. We did a similar activity for the Tour Ride event on 5th September. At both, we hope to raise awareness of Transition themes, hand out information leaflets and meet people.
