17th September 2011: celebration party and AGM

About fifty members and friends of Teign Estuary Transition Group gathered in the TAAG’s Arts & Community Centre in Teignmouth on Saturday evening to celebrate achievements of the Group’s first two years, hear about what the Group is currently doing, and help to form plans for the Group’s future. The evening provided the chance to watch a short animated environmental film called “Carbon Weevils”, along with socialising, live music by The Kirkwood Brown Trio, and supper. The evening also included a brief AGM.

The photos below, by Sally Fransen, show members of the Group enjoying the evening.

Energyshare: next details due 29th July

Energyshare will announce the next stage of the bid-process on 29th July. This will include a link to the full, online,  application form.

July 2011: Energyshare bid – success with first round!

Thank you very much for supporting Teign Estuary Transition’s bid for funding. I’m delighted to say that this week I heard we’ve got through the first round. We came 45th out of 936 groups nationally.  This success is due entirely to the support our project has received from you.

We’re now waiting for Energyshare to request a detailed application for our plans to make lighting-efficiencies in selected local community centres.
