Last evening at the Walled Garden for 2012?
All October it’s been getting too dark far too early in the garden – there’s barely time to get a cup of tea organised before it’s time to go home. And as you can see, the garden is very damp, and our poor wall is still in pieces.
There is plenty of life, though – Please come and see us on Sunday mornings – between 11 and 1 – ish – and admire the pond and the plants, the shelter, and the preparations for Spring – It won’t be long!
New cycle bridge in Newton Abbot
A new bridge for cyclists and pedestrians is being erected in Newton Abbot at the Town Quay. This will form a link for cyclists between Newton Abbot and Kingsteignton but will also be a link in the route to Teignmouth. Further details and a photo here.
Den book-sale update
We are pleased to announce that our garden book sale raised £42.50 in cash together with various donations of garden tools. Thank you to all who contributed to the cause!
We would also like to say thank you to Tibbs the greengrocers who donated the prize for our raffle, which was won by Gillian Campbell; to Flo who contributed the fine gazebo you can see in the pictures of the event; to Tom whose idea it was and for helping to organise the event; and to Fran and Liz for all their work on the day.

Your Garden Needs…
It’s been two years since we bought tools for everyone to use at the Community Garden, and some of the forks and spades are beginning to show the strain of keeping up with us.
Bookstall to the rescue:
(These pictures were taken late in the day, but you get the idea.)
The sun shone, people came to see us, they brought books, looked at books, and bought books, and they all went away with Teign Estuary Transition contact details, so as well as a great fund raising event, it was a chance to talk transition. A big thank you to all our helpers and supporters for making this event so successful for us.
And if any of you have gardening tools in need of hard work and appreciation, you know where to find us!
